    • Description:
     
    Triphosis a white crystalline alkaline powder which is characterised by a high pH. Different types of Trisodium Phosphates (TSP) contain various concentrations.
     
    The existing types in the market are:

    1. Anhydrous TSP – with no water in the molecule.
    2. Crystalline TSP – contains water in the molecule.

     
    There are various types of crystalline TSP characterised by the different quantity of water in the molecule, eg 0.5 mol., 6 mol., 8mol., 12 mol.
     
    Sterokem Triphos is crystalline TSP with 6 mol. water.

    Characteristics and Advantages:
     
    Material is less powdered and therefore creates less dust.
     

    1. Good Solubility
    2. Less hygroscopic (anhydrous material absorbs water more easily)
    3. Product is granular
    4. No tendency to cake
    5. Stable in storage (atleast 12 months)
    6. High alkalinity and high pH
    7. Good buffering porperties
    8. Good softening properties
    9. High P2O5 content (24-26%)
